This story depicted the transitional experience of the ghats and temples on the bank of Narmada in the evening. In daylight, the sun made the stone structure bright as gold and colours so outstanding, but on the contrary, as the night approached, the darkness took over on all the colours which one could see in the daylight. And then, the flickering and glimmering diyas replaced the golden fort with their golden light. The golden fort now became a dark silhouette with bold outlines highlighted by the light from the diyas. The scene may lack colours but still felt serene and retained the same spiritual beauty.
As the day approached to end in Maheshwar, the feeling of fun and festivity beamed yet maintained the spirituality. This time of the day saw various festive fun and carnivals. It was the time of the day when the devotees relaxed on the bank, relishing the faint swarming lights in the river. Sometimes a string of these faint lights outlined the inconspicuous fort structure.
The colours are tonal greys with an accent of gold (zari).
The mood brings a festive feeling in an enchanting modern, sophisticated home with minimal and light decor and a touch of gold which brings something special to festive home decor worldwide. White and light wood furniture compliments this mood. It takes you to a cosy room decorated with paper and metallic garlands, mirrors, tea lights and metal candlesticks.
The fabric is a play of weft stripes in the given colour palette using the multiple weft insertion technique and skills of Maheshwari handloom. The weight and thickness of the fabric are increased by manually doubling the weft yarn (combining more than one type of yarn).
